Job summary

SMATRA ENGINEERING PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Project Engineer (Civil / Electrical) to lead on-site execution for SP PowerGrid EHV cable projects. The role bridges civil deep excavation works with high-voltage installations, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery.

You will coordinate site activities, review civil and electrical drawings, manage sub-contractors, obtain permits, and uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
2–5 years of site experience in local infrastructural projects.
Experience with SPPG projects or underground utility works is advantageous.
Familiarity with regulatory processes (LTA, PUB, NParks) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Site Coordination & Management: plan, monitor, and coordinate day-to-day site installation works for EHV cable installation.
Interface management between civil and electrical teams for smooth handovers.
Survey & route design: conduct cable route surveys and compile route drawings.
Civil & infrastructure oversight: review temporary shoring, pipe jacking, HDD, cable bridges, and supports.
Electrical work support: oversee cable laying, jointing, and drawings cross-reference.
Safety, quality & compliance: conduct site safety inspections and incident reporting.
