Job summary

CHINA INTERNATIONAL WATER & ELECTRIC CORPORATION (S) PTE LTD is seeking a Project Engineer (Civil / Electrical) to oversee SP PowerGrid's EHV underground cable projects. You will coordinate civil deep-excavation works with electrical jointing and laying teams, ensuring safety and timely delivery.

You will review designs, manage permits, and liaise with clients and authorities to ensure compliant route surveys and accurate drawings.

Qualifications

A recognized Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
2–5 years of site experience on infrastructural projects.
Familiarity with deep excavation methods (Pipe jacking, HDD) and high-voltage systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of government agency submissions (LTA, PUB, NParks) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Plan, monitor, and coordinate day-to-day site installation works performed by sub-contractors for EHV cable installation.
Act as the primary liaison between civil engineering works and electrical cable jointing/laying teams to ensure smooth handovers.
Conduct cable route surveys with clients and relevant stakeholders, recording survey metrics and compiling route drawings reports.
Collaborate with Civil subcontractor on temporary shoring design, Pipe Jacking, HDD, cable bridges, and support structures.
Prepare, submit, and clear Earth Work Permits, NPKs, and clearance requirements from relevant authorities.
Oversee installation, pulling, and jointing preparation of EHV cables and verify drawings.
Conduct regular site safety inspections, identify hazards, and enforce WSH standards.
