Job summary

VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Pte Ltd (VSMC) is building a 300mm wafer fab in Singapore and is seeking an EHS professional to identify, assess and advise on workplace health, environmental and process risks. You will implement measures to eliminate or minimize risks and to ensure compliance across the facility.

You will lead hazard assessments, drive EHS improvements, manage waste, air, water, chemicals and gases, and collaborate on ISO certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering/Science with relevance to safety, chemistry or environmental topics.
• Min 2 years in semiconductor, electronics or chemically-intensive manufacturing with regulatory compliance experience.
• Industrial safety, environmental protection and fire protection certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hazard and risk assessments for job and environment; implement corrective actions.
• Apply licenses, perform tests and provide inspection reports on environment and safety.
• Lead and review Fab processes/equipment for EHS compliance, including waste, air, water and chemicals management.
• Manage semiconductor process safety; promote EHS culture; implement and enhance EHS program for employees and contractors.
• Perform regular and ad-hoc inspections, audits and supervise hazardous operations safely.
• Lead ERC activities such as factory emergency response, fire and gas leak drills.
• Collaborate with departments for ISO14001/ISO45001/ISO14064/ISO50001 certification and compliance.
• Provide technical, regulatory and process guidance to address emerging EHS issues.

Role Summary

You are responsible for identifying, assessing and advising on risks arising from the workplace health, environmental and/or work processes, recommending measures to eliminate or minimize and control the risks and implementing the measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct job and environment hazard and risk assessments, perform workplace evaluations, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Apply relevant licenses, conduct tests and provide necessary inspection reports on environment and safety to drive improvement
• Lead and continually review existing and new Fab processes and equipment for EHS compliance, including managing waste, air, water, chemicals, gas and others
• Manage semiconductor process safety, establish Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) culture, implement and enhance the EHS program for employees and contractors
• Perform regular and ad-hoc inspections. audits and supervise hazardous operations safely
• Lead and facilitate ERC (Emergency Response Committee) related activities such as factory emergency response, fire, gas leak and others
• Collaborate with relevant departments for ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO14064, and ISO50001 management systems certification and compliance
• Provide technical, regulatory and process guidance to address emerging EHS issues

Education Qualification & Essential Experiences

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Science background including Occupational Safety, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, environmental science and emergency response or management
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or other chemically intensive manufacturing industries and regulatory compliance preferred.
• Possess industrial safety, environmental protection, and fire protection related certificates
