Job summary

NCS in Singapore seeks a Senior Data Scientist to uncover insights from vast data using statistics, ML, and data mining. You will work with business users, project managers, and engineers to deliver actionable analytics solutions and drive business impact.

You will mentor peers, contribute to data architecture, and collaborate in agile or waterfall teams to deploy scalable models and dashboards that inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Business Analytics or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in advanced analytics delivery or equivalent academic exposure for interns.
• Strong knowledge in feature selection and extraction across varied data types.
• Competency in supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.
• Solid understanding of statistics, NLP, simulation, and optimization.
• Proficiency in Python or R, and Apache Spark or similar scripting language.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Plotly, or ggplot2.
• Experience with ML model deployment using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a concise and actionable manner.
• Skilled in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume data.

Job Description

NCS is looking for a Senior data scientist to address challenging data science problems by discovering information hidden in vast amounts of data using techniques in statistics, machine learning, and data mining. The data scientist will work closely with business users, project managers, and database engineers to develop sophisticated analytics algorithms that provide actionable insights. The role requires being a trusted adviser to clients in conceptualizing advanced analytics solutions and enabling their journey in data science.

• Experience with DevOps tools in analytics project delivery
• Experience in application or software development and design
• Exposure to deep learning and reinforcement learning
• Experience in implementing graph database analytics
• Knowledge of database modeling and data warehousing concepts
