Job summary

NCS is seeking a Data and AI Scientist to design and develop reusable, scalable cloud-native data and AI products. You will join an AI development team exploring state-of-the-art AI technologies and collaborating with cross-functional partners to tackle industry challenges with data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Background in engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge in AI.
• Good understanding of the latest AI research and production deployment.
• Strong coding experience in Python and/or C++.
• Experience with data manipulation, visualization, machine learning libraries.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Torch).
• Experience developing and deploying AI agents, RAG and vector/graph databases.
• Strong understanding of 3D geometry, vector math and coordinate systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with product owners, engineering teams and industry partners through the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
• Assess AI research, technologies and trends for maturity, viability and industry relevance.
• Develop and deploy software components based on microservices-based architecture.
• Participate in agile secure software development processes and document requirements.
• Propose, implement and validate algorithms focusing on transparency, scalability, security and cost.

We are looking for a Data and AI Scientist to design and develop reusable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud-native data and AI products. You will be part of an AI development team responsible for exploring and developing applications with current state-of-the-art AI technologies. You will participate as a subject-matter expert in cross functional teams working on addressing common industry challenges with data and AI. Successful candidates will be working in a fast-paced environment and participate in multiple projects with technology partners from the industry to develop data-driven and AI-driven products and services that could make a significant positive impact on society. Key Responsibilities

• Work with product owners, engineering teams, and industry partners throughout the product development lifecycle from concept, design, prototyping, acceptance testing, data curation, delivery, operationalisation, industry proliferation, to product end-of-life
• Technical assessment on the maturity, viability, and suitability of AI research, technologies and trends that are relevant to the industry
• Develop and deploy software components based on microservices-based architecture
• Participate in agile secure software development processes and best practices, documentation of user requirements and software codes during the software development lifecycle
• Propose, implement, and validate algorithms, ensuring functional and non-functional requirements such as transparency, fairness, scalability, security, integration complexity and operational costs

1. 1. Background in engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics or equivalent
2. 2. Strong technical knowledge in AI
3. 3. Good understanding of the latest research and technologies in AI for production deployment
4. 4. Strong coding experience in programming languages such as Python and/or C++
5. 5. Experience working with libraries for data manipulation, visualization, machine learning, and reporting.
6. 6. Hands-on experience with one or more deep learning frameworks, e.g., TensorFlow, Torch
7. 7. Extensive experience with OpenAI and Claude code-based prompt engineering.
8. 8. Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI Agents, RAG and vector/graph databases.
9. 9. Strong understanding of 3D geometry, vector math, and coordinate systems
10. 10. Experience with algorithms for mesh manipulation, Boolean operations, and geometric transformations
11. 11. Proficiency in relevant 3D modeling or CAD software (e.g., Blender, Rivet) and/or programming libraries (e.g., OpenGL, CGAL, Three.js)
12. 12. Team player with the ability to work in a cross-functional team with excellent interpersonal skills
13. 13. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong presentation and engagement skills
