Job summary

NCS is seeking a digitally fluent Digital Consultant to join the Digital Engineering Solutions team. The role focuses on helping clients uncover strategic opportunities, shape AI-powered initiatives, and provide advisory on digital transformation.

You will collaborate with internal engineering and experience design teams, and with technology partners to co-create scalable digital solutions and compelling AI-driven offerings for enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 2+ years in digital or technology consulting, ideally for public sector or large enterprises.
• Strong exposure to AI-driven initiatives, digital architecture, or solution consulting.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic advisor on digital transformation, AI adoption, and innovation roadmaps.
• Lead or support discovery sessions to understand business needs and co-develop use cases.
• Translate business problems into solution concepts and delivery approaches.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering SMEs, and NOI teams to craft AI- and digital-centric proposals.

NCS is looking for a digitally fluent and consultative Digital Consultant to join our Digital Engineering Solutions team. This role focuses on helping clients uncover strategic opportunities, shape AI-powered initiatives, and provide advisory on digital transformation. You will work closely with internal engineering and experience design teams, as well as technology partners, to co-create impactful and scalable digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Advisory & Client Consulting

• Act as a strategic advisor to clients on digital transformation, AI adoption, and innovation roadmaps.
• Lead or support discovery sessions to understand business needs and co-develop high-impact digital use cases.
• Translate business problems into solution concepts and delivery approaches that align with client priorities and modern digital practices.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering SMEs, and NOI teams to craft compelling AI- and digital-centric proposals.
• Develop presales assets including solution outlines, executive presentations, and contribution to POCs.
• Shape value propositions around AI, automation, and platform services tailored to sector-specific needs.

Collaboration with UX/DX Teams

• Work alongside UI/UX and digital experience consultants to ensure solutions are user-centric and aligned to experience design principles.
• Advocate for thoughtful integration of AI in user workflows and touchpoints where appropriate.
• Understand and interpret user journeys and design insights to inform broader solution direction (without owning UX design).
• Maintain working knowledge of AI and platform capabilities from major tech providers (AWS, Azure, Google, OpenAI).
• Recommend suitable tools, APIs, or accelerators to support solution goals.
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to enrich client discussions.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Interface with senior business and technology stakeholders to present roadmaps, insights, and strategic recommendations.
• Act as a key point of contact in presales and consulting engagements, ensuring alignment across internal and external teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• At least 2 years in digital or technology consulting, ideally for public sector or large enterprises.
• Strong exposure to AI-driven initiatives, digital architecture, or solution consulting.
• Familiarity with AI/ML platforms across major providers (e.g. AWS AI/ML, Azure Cognitive Services, Google Vertex AI, OpenAI).

Preferred Skills

• Ability to co-create rapid prototypes or storyboards to illustrate AI use cases and solution flow.
• Good understanding of design thinking, with the ability to bridge business, tech, and design perspectives.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills tailored to both technical and executive audiences.
• Awareness of responsible AI and ethical digital design principles.
