Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to liaise with multiple parties.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented; passionate about helping disadvantaged children.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct English and Mathematics lessons for Primary school children, including lesson planning, creation of worksheets and assessments.
  • Assist in scheduling tuition classes and coordinating tutor sessions, including volunteers and Part Time Teachers.
  • Support recruitment of Part Time Teachers, including interviewing and onboarding.
  • Conduct orientation and Code of Conduct briefings for Part Time teachers and assist payroll submissions.
  • Provide close support to Part Time Teachers facing classroom management or delivery challenges.
  • Track students' school results and academic progress, with timely updates and interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records of tuition classes, attendance, and progress; prepare reports for Board meetings.
  • Assist in organisation-wide events and school holiday programmes.
  • Respond to ad hoc emails, phone calls, or walk-in queries.
  • Undertake duties assigned by HOD/ Assistant Director/ CEO.

About the role

The Education Officer (Children Enrichment Programme) develops and conducts English and Mathematics lessons for Primary school children, manages tuition scheduling and Part Time Teacher recruitment, and supports academic tracking and progress monitoring. The role involves lesson planning, worksheet creation, assessments, and close support to teaching staff, alongside general organisational duties and event support.


Key responsibilities


  • Develop and conduct English and Mathematics lessons for Primary school children, including lesson planning, creation of worksheets and assessments


  • Assist the Centre Team in scheduling children for tuition classes, one-on-one volunteer led tutor and Part Time Teachers led sessions


  • Support recruitment of Part Time Teachers, including interviewing and onboarding suitable candidates


  • Conduct Orientation and Code of Conduct briefing for Part Time teachers and assist the Centre Manager with monthly payroll submissions


  • Provide close support to Part Time Teachers, particularly those facing challenges in classroom management or delivery


  • Support in tracking student's school results and CWW academic progress, ensuring timely updates and interventions


  • Maintain accurate records of tuition classes, attendance, and progress in shared folders, and prepare reports for Board meetings


  • Assist in Organisation wide events and support school holiday programmes


  • Respond to ad hoc emails, phone calls, or walk in queries


  • Undertake duties assigned by the HOD/ Assistant Director/ CEO



About you


  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with children, preferably in a Primary School and social service environment
