Job summary

PERSOL in Singapore is seeking a Finance professional on a 1-year contract (convertible/extendable) based at Pioneer. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and revenue management within university finance operations.

You will partner with stakeholders to provide actionable financial insights, monitor performance, and ensure cash flow and compliance with university policies. 5+ years of FP&A experience and SAP/BI tooling proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy/Finance or Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification would be beneficial.
• More than 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis and Controllership.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships at all levels.
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Able to handle high volume and multiple stakeholders across all levels in the organisation.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.).
• Good knowledge of SAP system, Power BI, Tableau, Ariba systems would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partner with academic and administrative stakeholders to provide financial advice and support data-driven decision-making.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, ensuring alignment with School and University priorities.
• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and identify risks and opportunities to enhance financial outcomes.
• Oversee revenue management and receivables processes to ensure timely revenue recognition, effective collections, and strong cash flow management.
• Review funding and budget requests, evaluate business cases, and provide recommendations to support management decisions.
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses, translating complex financial information into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Maintain effective financial operations and governance by supporting procurement, payments, asset management, financial closing, audit activities, and compliance with University policies and controls.
• Support Finance Business Partner in any other matters
