Job summary

A mechanical and electrical company in Singapore is seeking an ICA Engineer to support design and engineering for ICA systems. The role requires a Diploma in Electrical or related fields and a minimum of 3 years of relevant project experience. Responsibilities include preparing technical specifications, supervising site installations, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and can work independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of PLC/SCADA programming is preferred.

Qualifications

Job Description – ICA Engineer (Instrumentation, Control & Automation)

• Support design and engineering for ICA systems (Control System, PLC/DCS, SCADA, Data Network, P&ID).
• Prepare and review ICA technical specifications and drawings.
• Work with subcontractors on design submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in equipment selection, technical evaluation, and procurement.
• Support PLC/SCADA programming and control system integration (Siemens, Schneider, ABB, etc. preferred).
• Coordinate with other trades, clients, consultants, and vendors for smooth project delivery.
• Supervise ICA site installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning works.
• Handle project documentation, schedule tracking, progress reports and claims.
• Solve ICA technical issues on site and ensure client approval for testing and commissioning works.
• Familiar with BMS, Fire Alarm, ACMV, ELV systems will be an added advantage.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Instrumentation / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years relevant ICA project experience (Water/Wastewater experience is an advantage).
• Experience in PLC/DCS/SCADA programming and panel design preferred.
• Able to read and produce AutoCAD drawings (MicroStation, 3D experience is a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills and able to work under tight schedule.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Good communication and coordination skills with all stakeholders.
• Able to work at Tuas project site.
• Bilingual in English & Chinese is an added advantage.
• Candidates with 5+ years experience may be considered for Senior ICA Engineer role.
