Job summary

Aquila Group is seeking a focused Financial Controller for our Singapore office. The role reports to the Head of Finance and covers monthly project performance tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and funding coordination.

You will support project managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely cashflow management. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in financial controlling, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, ideally with a focus on Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial controlling and reporting.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with project teams
• Strong financial background and experience in reporting or planning
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High capacity to adapt to changes and new processes taking ownership of them with a proactive approach.
• Being able to manage workloads, prioritize tasks and work through strict deadlines.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to partner with business and corporate functional colleagues, external stakeholders, and staff.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualisation tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse the monthly project performance tracking (ACT vs. approved budgets) and coordinate project-related payments as well as tracking of overall funding needs.
• Support Project Managers on reporting of project budgets, cashflow forecast, project commitments and overall funding requests and timelines
• Closely monitor and track the financial performance of the projects, providing feedback on the deviations with regards to budgeted figures.
• Partner with various teams on overall performance of assets, analysing deviations from forecast and milestone plans, including reporting to Lenders
• Support Head of Finance with preparation of the business plan, budget and forecasts based on the above-mentioned project tracking activities and analysis.
• Support implementation of new system and tools, including data migration
• Any other adhoc tasks and related duties as assigned
