Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant professional teaching experience in early childhood.
• Degree must be from a recognised University or College with not less than 3 years full-time study in Education or Physical Education.
• Teachers Certificates, Diplomas or other Teacher Accreditation if the degree is not in Education.
• IB PYP course and training are highly valued.
• Knowledge of or willingness to acquire knowledge of inquiry-based learning.
• Provide original copies of certificates and transcripts for authentication.
• International experience, especially in Asia, is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Physical Education curriculum to assigned classes.
• Differentiate lessons according to abilities and learning needs.
• Promote independent learning and develop competence and confidence of every student.
• Ensure the thorough implementation of subject specifications, teaching schemes, assessment policies and reporting procedures.
• Assess and develop the Physical Education curriculum in the school.
• Plan and deliver schemes of work and select appropriate teaching methods.
• Keep abreast of developments in Physical Education and adapt content as appropriate.
• Identify resources within the school budget.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed.
• Promote healthy lifestyle and the importance of exercise.
• Ensure student work is regularly assessed and homework aligns with policy.
• Report to parents according to policy.
• Use assessment data to drive improvements in achievement.
• Contribute to school discipline, routines, and duties.
• Contribute to co-curricular activities and cross-curricular links.
• Liaise with Inclusive Education Team to support individual students.
• Develop links with the wider community to extend study of Physical Education.
