Job summary

The Perse School (Singapore) is seeking a committed Teacher of Physical Education (Primary Specialist) to join our team in August 2027 and teach PE across Primary cohorts. The role requires involvement in the Games programme, after-school sports, and league fixtures within a diverse international context.

We welcome Early Career Teachers and those new to international settings. Candidates should be passionate about the subject, uphold safeguarding policies, and contribute to leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, PGDE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma, or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in UK/UK curriculum international settings.
• Strong understanding of the International Cambridge or English National Curriculum for primary/secondary.
• Experience supporting students where English is an additional language.
• Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students with high standards and differentiated learning.
• Contribute to school life beyond the classroom, including trips, clubs and cultural events.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan and facilitate engaging PE lessons across Primary cohorts.
• Provide appropriate stretch and support so all students make progress.
• Assess attainment and progress, giving timely feedback.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom and contribute to pastoral care.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and communicate with parents and leaders.
• Stay updated on teaching methodologies and safeguarding responsibilities.
