Job summary

SBS Transit Limited is seeking a proactive professional to lead a maintenance team for DTL Systems and drive reliability across communications and control networks. The role focuses on failure analysis, replacement programs, and continuous improvement in safety and performance.

You will coordinate with the Section Head, prepare maintenance plans and procedures, and assist training and audits to ensure high standards of operation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
• Experience with Railway Communication/Control Systems maintenance.
• Experience with testing and commissioning of Communication/Control Systems.
• Hands-on start-up operations experience.
• Fresh graduates may apply.

• Lead and manage a team of Assistant Engineers/Technicians for maintenance of DTL Systems.
• Perform failure analysis and investigations of DTL Systems.
• Oversee replacement programs for DTL Systems.
• Contribute to cost saving, improvements and upgrading work for DTL Systems.
• Audit maintenance work for safety, quality and productivity.
• Assist in writing maintenance plans, project rules and safety plans.
• Support ISO certification efforts as required.
• Collaborate with contractors to ensure smooth defect and modification work.
• Monitor and review modifications and upgradings of equipment in communications/control systems.

Job description

Responsibility

• Lead and manage a team of Assistant Engineers/Technicians for the maintenance activities of DTL Systems.

• Responsible for failure analysis and investigation DTL Systems.

• Responsible for the replacement program for DTL Systems.

• Responsible for cost saving, improvement and upgrading work for DTL Systems.

• Lead, manage and support maintenance team for DTL Systems to meet the required standards of safety, reliability and availability.

• Assist Section Head to writing maintenance and project plan rules and procedures, safety plans and reports.

• Assist Section Head to achieve ISO certifications, if required.

• Collaborate with the contractors for the defect and modification work to ensure a smooth process.

• Audit of maintenance work for improvement and productivity.

• Study and analyse the faults and propose for improvement.

• Assist Section Head to monitor all modifications and upgrading of the equipment in the communications/control systems.

• Assist Section Head to manage and develop Work Instructions and Specifications for maintenance of the equipment and sub systems.

• Monitor and conduct regular audit on the maintenance of the equipment and process

• Assist Section Head to manage and review R&P/Work Instruction periodically.

• Conduct investigation for incidents and delays related to DTL Systems.

• Ensure the competency level of the maintenance staffs.

• Develop, plan and conduct of in-house DTL Systems' course according to WSQ for maintenance staffs.

• Assess the staff's competency after training to ensure it meets the required standards and competency for the job.

• Assist in planning and coordinating of new and existing staff training plan.

• Assist Section Head for any A&A, upgrading and project work.

Requirements

• Recognize degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering

• Knowledge in computer hardware and software applications.

• Experience in maintenance of Railway Communication/Control Systems

• Experience in testing and commissioning of Communication/Control Systems

• Hands-on experience in start-up operations
