Responsibilities
- Program and Project Management: Develop process technology strategy for assigned products in Process R&D, coordinate project activities, prioritize customer demands, resolve yield and defect issues, collaborate with Manufacturing Development Engineering, align with R&D Management, Process Integration, and High‑Volume Manufacturing Sites, provide technical direction to production and R&D alignment, drive operational efficiency improvements with equipment development and suppliers, and maintain vendor relationships.
- Performance Management: Partner with direct reports to set short‑ and long‑term goals, provide ongoing feedback and career development, conduct goal‑based performance evaluations, mentor team members on technical and soft skills (presentation, risk management, decision making, vendor interaction), recognize outstanding performance, recruit external and internal candidates, and resolve conflicts.
Qualifications
- At least five years of experience leading a process development team in semiconductor R&D or high‑volume manufacturing.
- Comprehensive understanding of Plasma Dry Etch Technology.
- Knowledge and experience in high aspect ratio etch development.
- Demonstrated collaborative problem‑solving skills.
- Understanding of hard mask requirements based on material properties.
- Positive relationship‑building skills with internal and external customers.
- Structured problem‑solving capabilities.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Experience in mentoring and managing direct reports.
- Drive for continuous improvement as a team member and leader.
Education
- PhD or Master’s in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering, plus a minimum of 8 years of semiconductor industry experience focusing on dry etch technology and personnel management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering, plus a minimum of 15 years of semiconductor sector experience focusing on dry etch technology and personnel management.
