Job summary

WUXI XDC SINGAPORE PRIVATE LIMITED seeks a skilled cell culture scientist to support mammalian culture processes, including expansion, cell bank work, shake flask cultivation and 3–15 L bioreactor operations.

This role requires hands-on aseptic operations, media prep, inoculation, passaging, sampling, and cell bank handling in a biosafety cabinet, with collaboration on tech transfer and troubleshooting. Strong English skills and GMP documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering (chemical/biomedical, biology, or pharmacy).
• At least 3 years of hands-on mammalian cell culture, aseptic operations, and bioreactor operation experience.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and execution skills; ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements and documentation practices.
• Excellent English reading/writing/speaking; strong meeting organization and documentation.
• Responsible, curious, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Understand and execute mammalian cell culture processes, including expansion, cell bank establishment, shake flask cultivation, and 3–15 L bioreactor operations.
• Operate and maintain small-scale bioreactors and analytical equipment (Vi‑cell, Cedex, BGA, Osmometer).
• Perform aseptic culture activities, media prep, inoculation, passaging, sampling, and cell bank handling in biosafety cabinets.
• Collaborate with PD and manufacturing teams for successful tech transfer.
• Lead troubleshooting investigations on cell culture performance, deviations, and equipment issues.
• Assist in lab management, equipment maintenance, inventory, and lab readiness.
• Maintain GDP-compliant documentation; draft and update SOPs, QA records, and technical docs.
• Assist conjugation projects as needed; perform other supervisor-assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Possess a solid understanding of cell culture theory and hands‑on experience in mammalian cell culture processes, including cell expansion, cell bank establishment, shake flask cultivation, and 3–15 L bioreactor operations
• Proficient in operating and maintaining small‑scale bioreactors using Delta V and related analytical equipment including Vi‑cell, Cedex, BGA and Osmometer
• Perform aseptic cell culture activities, including media preparation, inoculation, passaging, sampling, and cell bank handling within BSC
• Collaborate with PD and manufacturing teams to ensure successful tech transfer
• Lead and support troubleshooting investigations related to cell culture performance, process deviations, and equipment issues
• Assist in laboratory management activities, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and ensuring laboratory readiness.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with GDP and internal quality requirements.
• Draft, review, and update SOP, RA, technical documents, and related records.
• Assist in conjugation projects as required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences or engineering, such as chemical engineering, bioengineering, biology, or pharmacy.
• Priority will be given to candidates with at least 3 years of relevant hands‑on experience in mammalian cell culture, aseptic operations, and bioreactor operation
• Strong communication, teamwork, logical thinking, and execution skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements and documentation practices
• Excellent English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking, with strong meeting organization and document writing skills.
