Job summary

WuXi XDC in Singapore is seeking a hands-on professional to support mammalian cell culture operations, including cell expansion, bank establishment, shake flasks, and small bioreactors.

You will collaborate with PD and manufacturing teams, troubleshoot process deviations, maintain GDP-compliant documentation, draft SOPs, and ensure laboratory readiness through effective inventory and equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences or engineering, such as chemical engineering, bioengineering, biology, or pharmacy.
  • With min 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, aseptic operations, and bioreactor operation
  • Strong communication, teamwork, logical thinking, and execution skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with GMP requirements and documentation practices
  • Excellent English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking, with strong meeting organization and document writing skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, willingness and ability to learn, teamwork spirit, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Cell culture theory and hands-on mammalian culture, including expansion, banks, shake flasks, and small bioreactors.
  • Operate and maintain small-scale bioreactors using DeltaV and related equipment (Vi-cell, Cedex, BGA, Osmometer).
  • Perform aseptic cell culture activities: media prep, inoculation, passaging, sampling, and cell bank handling in BSC.
  • Collaborate with PD and manufacturing teams to ensure successful tech transfer.
  • Lead and support troubleshooting investigations related to cell culture performance, process deviations, and equipment issues.
  • Assist in laboratory management activities: equipment maintenance, inventory management, ensuring readiness.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant GDP documentation.
  • Draft, review, and update SOPs, RA, technical documents, and related records.
  • Assist in conjugation projects as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

  • Possess a solid understanding of cell culture theory and hands‑on experience in mammalian cell culture processes, including cell expansion, cell bank establishment, shake flask cultivation, and 3–15 L bioreactor operations
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining small‑scale bioreactors using Delta V and related analytical equipment including Vi‑cell, Cedex, BGA and Osmometer
  • Perform aseptic cell culture activities, including media preparation, inoculation, passaging, sampling, and cell bank handling within BSC
  • Collaborate with PD and manufacturing teams to ensure successful tech transfer
  • Lead and support troubleshooting investigations related to cell culture performance, process deviations, and equipment issues
  • Assist in laboratory management activities, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and ensuring laboratory readiness.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with GDP and internal quality requirements.
  • Draft, review, and update SOP, RA, technical documents, and related records.
  • Assist in conjugation projects as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
