Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore is seeking a skilled hardware/firmware engineer to design and develop electronic circuit boards for drone systems. You will work within a tight-knit team delivering safe, reliable drone solutions to customers in Singapore and the region.

You will handle schematic/PCB design, component sourcing, and firmware development in embedded C/C++. The role involves testing, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet high standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hardware and firmware design experience.
• Experience in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with MCUs, DSPs and FPGAs.
• Familiar with UART, I2C, SPI, CAN and Ethernet.
• Proficient in schematic and PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, Eagle).
• Proficient in C/C++ programming.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Research and define efficient architecture for drone electronics.
• Source suitable electronic components to implement the design.
• Study datasheets and design schematics for circuit boards.
• Design PCB layouts and generate Gerber files.
• Develop firmware in embedded C/C++.
• Test PCB assemblies to ensure proper operation.
• Generate design and test documents and drawings.
