Job summary

Tong Loong Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a driver to transport construction materials, tools, machinery, and personnel to and from job sites in Singapore. You will ensure safe loading and unloading, inspect vehicles, and report maintenance needs while following safety protocols and traffic laws.

Role requires good communication, the ability to work with site teams, and the stamina to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. Overtime and annual leave are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Possess valid Class 4 or Class 5 license as applicable.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience, with clean record.
• Physically capable of handling 25–30 kg loads.
• Familiarity with Singapore road networks and routes.

Responsibilities

• Transport construction materials, tools, machinery, and personnel to and from sites.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading and proper securing of shipments.
• Inspect vehicles and report maintenance needs.
• Follow safety protocols and traffic laws on site.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of site equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers for timely deliveries.
• Maintain delivery logs, fuel consumption, and related records.
• Perform other site duties as directed by supervisors.

Job Description:

• Operate company vehicles (Class 4/5) to transport construction materials, tools, machinery, and personnel to and from job sites.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials and verify that shipments are correct and properly secured.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with traffic laws, environmental regulations, and company policies while driving.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of construction site equipment as required.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials and supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, vehicle inspections, fuel consumption, and other related documentation.
• Perform other duties related to the construction site as directed by site supervisors or management.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 4 or Class 5 driver's license (depending on the location and vehicle type).
• Experienced driver: At least 1 year of working experience, with a valid Class 4 driving license.
• Physically capable: Able to handle items weighing between 25kg to 30kg, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading.
• Driving knowledge: Familiarity with Singapore road networks and delivery routes to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
• Previous experience driving in a construction environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and safe driving practices.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and ability to perform minor repairs as needed.
