Job summary

BRIGHT TECH ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Lorry / Van Driver cum Maintenance & Purchasing Assistant to support deliveries, maintain fleet vehicles, and manage purchasing activities.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills and the ability to liaise with suppliers for parts and materials. You will be responsible for safe driving, basic repairs, arranging servicing, and maintaining records of purchases and vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence suitable for the company vehicle.
• Relevant experience as a lorry/van driver is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Practical and hands-on with maintenance work.
• Able to communicate with suppliers and handle basic purchasing duties.
• Responsible, punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Drive company lorry/van safely for delivery, collection, transportation, and other company-related tasks.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
• Carry out basic maintenance, inspection, and minor repair works when required.
• Arrange servicing, repairs, inspections, road tax, and other vehicle-related matters.
• Identify vehicle issues and report major faults for further repair.
• Assist with general maintenance and repair work at the company premises when required.
• Handle purchasing of company materials, spare parts, tools, equipment, and other supplies.
• Source and compare prices from suppliers to obtain suitable products at reasonable prices.
• Collect purchased items and ensure they are delivered to the correct location.
• Maintain proper records of purchases, receipts, invoices, and vehicle maintenance.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods when necessary.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the management.
