Job summary

Lian Gay Construction in Singapore is seeking a Draftsperson to prepare engineering and shop drawings and to coordinate with the Project Manager, design team and related personnel.

You will attend meetings with consultants and main contractors, maintain drawing files, and ensure updates align with regulatory requirements and project discussions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Draftsperson in metal work structural.
• Experience with aluminium, stainless steel, and cladding systems.
• Diploma or equivalent in Building/Civil Engineering.
• Strong communication with teams and subcontractors.
• 5.5-day work week (alternate Saturday).

Responsibilities

• Drafting of engineering and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Project Team, Design Team and related person.
• Prepare and review rough sketch and review them with the Engineering team.
• Attend meetings with consultants and contractors.
• Maintain all drawing files and update drawings as needed.
• Coordinate with clients/main contractors and update drawings per meetings and regulations.
• Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary.
• Clarify and solve problems raised by teams.
• Coordinate with team members and other discipline.
• Other ad hoc duties assigned.

Responsibilities

• Drafting of engineering and shop drawing
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Project Team, Design Team and related person.
• Prepare and review rough sketch and review them allow with the Engineering team.
• Responsible for attending the meeting with consultants, contractors as part of project.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools is preferred.
• Required to maintain all drawing files, update drawings as needed, and make corrections to drawings as directed by the Section Heads / Leads
• Coordination of drawings with Clients / Main Contractors and updating of drawings base on Meetings and discussion and in compliance to Regulation Codes and Practices
• Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary
• Clarify and solve problems raised by teams
• Coordinate with team members and other discipline
• Other ad hoc duties assigned

Job Requirement

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Draftsperson in the Metal work structural.
• Must have knowledge in Aluminium, Stainless steel, cladding system and metal work.
• At least Diploma in Building/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills with teams and subcontractors .
• 5.5 Days work week (Alt Saturday)
