Job summary

PDR Insurance Agency, LLC is seeking a Draftsperson to join the Projects & Retrofit team to prepare engineering drawings and project documentation for new-build and retrofit orders. You will ensure drawings meet customer and authority requirements.

Key responsibilities include developing preliminary drawings from sales quotes, creating single-line and termination drawings, and compiling vendor documentation for review. You will monitor progress, maintain records, and ensure on-schedule delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience drafting engineering drawings.
• Familiar with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Proficient with AutoCAD 2D/3D and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outline and detailed engineering drawings according to project and customer requirements.
• Develop preliminary drawings based on sales quotation requirements.
• Prepare single-line, termination and arrangement drawings based on project scope.
• Prepare vendor documentation for submission to customers and relevant reviewing bodies.
• Monitor engineering activities and ensure documentation is completed on schedule.
• Assist with planning, tracking and reporting of project progress.
• Maintain proper records and documentation throughout projects.
• Identify potential project risks and issues.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager/supervisor.
• Adhere to relevant safety, statutory and company requirements.

Our client is an established engineering solutions company with operations supporting new-build and retrofit projects. They are currently looking for a Draftsperson to join their Projects & Retrofit team and support the preparation of engineering drawings and project documentation.

About the Role

You will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings and documentation for new-build projects and retrofit orders, ensuring drawings meet customer and relevant authority requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum NTC 2/3 or ITE qualification
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (2D/3D)
• Experience in engineering drafting/drawing
• Electrical or Electronic knowledge is an added advantage
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PDF
• Experience with marine/engineering products or related industry will be an advantage
