Job summary

Fong Shen Maintenance & Engrg Pte. Ltd. is seeking an engineering professional to prepare sketches and 3D designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

You will support site surveys, guide engineering and operations teams, and ensure drawings meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves providing technical support for waste treatment operations, maintaining project documents, and collaborating with project teams and external parties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in Petrol-Chemical industry preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or other drafting software.
• Strong cost planning, scheduling and reporting abilities.
• Knowledge of MS Project and Smap3D is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and proactive with initiative.
• Able to work with minimal supervision under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sketches and detailed work using AutoCAD and SolidWorks / 3D design.
• Carry out site surveys and support project/operations teams in defining scope.
• Provide technical and engineering support for process improvement in waste treatment plants.
• Ensure CAD drawings comply with quality standards, codes and regulations.
• Review drawings for accuracy and maintain documentation and revisions.
• Develop and implement work methodologies and strategies.
• Attend project meetings with the project team and third parties.
• Identify and resolve design issues and provide actionable solutions.
• Adhere to schedules and perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

• Prepare sketches and detailed work with AutoCAD design software and / or SolidWorks / 3D Designs.
• Carry out site surveys, support and facilitate the Engineering/Operation Team in defining and specifying project / work scope. Involve in the entire design process and recommend suitable solutions, including type of equipment to use, the layout of equipment and operational considerations.
• Provide technical and engineering support to industrial waste treatment plant operation and process improvement works.
• Ensure compliance of quality standards, engineering concepts, relevant codes and regulations in CAD and related drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating and reviewing drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Create and implement work methodologies and strategies.
• Manage and maintain project files, documentation and all drawings and its revisions efficiently.
• Identify, resolve design issues and provide solutions to the team.
• Attend project meetings and discussions with the Project Team and 3rd parties.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Key Requirements/ Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Engineering.
• AutoCAD and/or other designing/drafting software.
• Technically strong in project cost planning, scheduling and reporting.

• Ability to work well with minimal supervision, ability to work well under stress and tight deadlines.

Additional Requirement: Need to be flexible with own schedule. Work hours will be based on business needs. May be assigned ad-hoc duties by the Management beside primary roles.
