Job summary

Xing Wei Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced DP Consultant / DP Engineer to join our DP Consulting Team.

You will support and execute DP consultancy and engineering assignments with technical independence, including DP system testing, FMEA studies, and vessel assurance activities. Based in Vision Exchange, Jurong East, the role requires 3–6 years in DP or related marine/offshore engineering, a valid IMCA DP certification, and strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Marine, Electrical, Mechanical, or Control & Automation Engineering.
• Valid IMCA DP certification/qualification.
• 3–6 years of DP or related marine/offshore experience.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Willing to travel internationally and work onboard vessels.

Responsibilities

• Execute DP consultancy and engineering projects.
• Participate in DP FMEA studies, trials, and vessel assurance.
• Conduct DP system testing, troubleshooting, and assessments.
• Prepare and review technical reports and DP documentation.
• Support vessel inspections and provide client technical support.
• Liaise with clients and project teams on technical matters.
• Support senior consultants and take responsibility for projects.

Job description

Xing Wei Pte. Ltd. is looking for an experienced DP Consultant / DP Engineer to join our growing DP Consulting Team in Singapore. This role is suitable for DP professionals with relevant industry experience who are able to support and execute DP consultancy and engineering assignments with a good level of technical independence.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Work Location: Vision Exchange, Jurong East

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute DP consultancy and engineering projects.
• Participate in and support DP FMEA studies, FMEA proving trials, DP trials and vessel assurance activities.
• Conduct DP system testing, troubleshooting and technical assessments.
• Prepare and review technical reports, FMEA documentation, DP trial reports and project documentation.
• Participate in vessel inspections and provide technical support to clients.
• Liaise with clients, vessel personnel and project teams on technical matters.
• Support senior consultants and progressively take responsibility for assigned projects.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Marine, Electrical, Mechanical, Control & Automation Engineering.
• Valid IMCA DP certification/qualification is required.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience in Dynamic Positioning (DP), marine/offshore engineering or a related field.
• Practical knowledge of Electrical, Automation and Control Systems.
• Experience in DP FMEA, FMEA proving trials, DP trials and/or vessel assurance.
• Good technical report-writing and documentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel & AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good attention to detail, engineering fundamentals and safety awareness.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel internationally and work onboard vessels when required.
• Willing to work on weekends and public holidays when required for project or vessel operations.
