Job summary

Xiaomi Technology Singapore is seeking a Computer Software Engineer to join the Database & Storage Infrastructure team, building and maintaining large-scale distributed database and storage platforms.

You will research, design, and implement software, analyze requirements, and work with hardware teams to optimize performance. The role involves automation, on-call rotations, and collaboration across Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and regional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a computer-related field.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, data structures, algorithms, and OS concepts.
• Proficient in at least one of Golang, Java, Python, or Rust.
• Strong communication in Mandarin and English for cross-regional work.
• Unix/Linux experience and database system familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop software for large-scale database and storage systems.
• Analyze requirements and develop software solutions using CS and engineering principles.
• Update and test software; validate database and storage services.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize performance.
• Build tooling for monitoring, capacity planning, backup, and incident response.
• Participate in on-call rotations and production incident remediation.
