Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE. LTD. in Tuas, Singapore, seeks a Chemical Engineering Technician (Solvent Recovery) to operate a distillation plant and ensure safe, compliant production from waste streams.

You will coordinate with the Lab and resale team, follow SOPs, and maintain safe handling of flammable materials. Role requires shift work and flexibility. Basic salary ranges from 1,900 to 2,700 SGD monthly with overtime/shift allowances and a sign-on bonus (T&C apply).

Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email, internet research).
• Able to perform overtime/shift work.

Responsibilities

• Operate distillation process plant to recover product from waste streams.
• Ensure distillation runs within safe operating parameters.
• Safely transfer and handle flammable materials.
• Coordinate with Laboratory for waste/product sampling.
• Follow SOPs and document deviations.
• Collaborate with Laboratory & resale team for re-sell items.
• Ensure storage capacity and safe storage of product.
• Monitor distillation performance and utilities usage.
• Startup/shutdown distillation plant per SOP.
• Record process data and troubleshoot equipment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance with engineering.
• Conduct routine inspections for leaks and hazards.
• Participate in training to enhance chemical and safety knowledge.
• Cover 5S and safety responsibilities for the department.
