Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte Ltd is hiring a Chemical Engineering Technician (Solvent Recovery) for Tuas. The role operates a distillation plant to recover product from spent waste, ensures safe operation, and coordinates with Laboratory and resale teams. Requires NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, with MS Office and basic IT skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in MS Office, email, and internet research.
• Willing to work overtime and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate a distillation process plant to recover product from spent waste.
• Maintain safe operation within process parameters.
• Ensure safe handling and transfer of flammable materials.
• Coordinate with Laboratory for sampling.
• Follow SOP and document deviations.
• Coordinate with Laboratory & resale team for items.
• Ensure storage capacity and safe product storage.
• Monitor distillation performance, recovery yield, and utilities.
• Startup/shutdown distillation per SOP.
• Record process data and report deviations.
• Identify and rectify process upsets and equipment issues.
• Work with engineering to resolve equipment issues and preventive measures.
• Inspect for leaks, spills, and safety hazards; ensure safe handling of flammable materials.
• Participate in training for chemical safety.
• Cover 5S and safety tasks for department.
