Responsibilities

• Hand-wash delicate glassware and large cookware that cannot fit in dishwasher.
• Operate and monitor dishwasher machine, ensuring proper temperature and loading.
• Inspect items after washing for residue, spots, or cracks and rewash as needed.
• Drain, clean, and descale industrial dish machines at shift end.
• Assist with other tasks to support kitchen operations and team.

Job description

SUMMARY:

We're looking for a passionate Dishwasher to join our exciting team at Willow & Oak. As a Dishwasher, you'll be responsible for keeping our service and kitchen operations clean and efficient. This full-time position involves managing the dinner cleanup followed by closing procedures, and deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and ensuring the facility is ready for opening team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cleaning & Sanitization

• Hand-wash delicate items such as fragile glassware and large cookware (pots, pans, baking sheets) that cannot fit in or withstand dishwasher machine
• Efficiently scrape, pre-rinse, and load dishracks into dishwasher machine and monitor wash/rinse for proper temperature
• Inspect every item after washing for remaining residue, spots, or cracks – rewash immediately if they do not meet standards

Machine Maintenance

• Drain, clean, and descale industrial dish machines at the end of the shift to ensure they are fully operational for the morning

Team Support

• Assist with any other tasks needed to support the kitchen operations
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• This is a night shift role.
• Previous restaurant or cleaning experience is preferred, but notmandatory
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation protocols, and cleaning procedures
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle peak hours calmly
• Responsible, punctual, and a good team player with a positive attitude
