The Product Software and Platform Software team at Equinix builds next‑generation software products and architecture for our Equinix software platform and services offerings. We are looking for an experienced technology leader to lead our next‑gen customer‑facing digital experience platform engineering team. Located at our Singapore office, the successful candidate will be building a world‑class, globally distributed engineering team of highly skilled engineers and managers in Singapore and Sunnyvale, USA, and driving a culture of innovation, excellence & collaboration across various engineering disciplines. They will, with their team, develop products and digital infrastructure to accelerate the digital transformation of Equinix’s Data Center Services end‑to‑end experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of software engineering managers and engineers, advocating a high‑performance culture
• Define and implement software development methodologies, best practices, and standards to ensure the delivery of high‑quality software products whilst managing development budgets, schedules, and resources to meet project objectives
• Responsible for optimizing resource allocation and resolving resource allocation challenges across the portfolio, managing vendor and resources for infrastructural needs
• Guide and/or revise portfolio‑level plans, as needed, to ensure they completely gather all activities and eliminate duplicative efforts
• Responsible for leading strategic planning, influencing and driving prioritization of initiatives with executive partners
• Responsible for developing and presenting a roadmap of projects and initiatives in support of partner priorities to all levels of the organization
• Participates in software architecture, design reviews and DevOps processes of various projects and products
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other partners to ensure successful delivery of products, projects, and services
• Drives executive partner communications with respective to portfolio status, and budget utilization
• Monitors consistency to critical metrics and is responsible for resolving advanced issues and potential roadblocks, identifying and mitigating project execution risks
• Is accountable for successful implementation of approved system improvement recommendations whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, security policies, and data protection laws
• Monitor industry trends, new technologies, and emerging practices to find opportunities for innovation and improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 10+ years of demonstrated ability in software engineering management
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and empower a team of software engineers. Proven track record to lead software development budgets, schedules, and resources
• Deep knowledge of software development methodologies and industry standards
• Strong technical skills, with experience in software development using modern programming languages, frameworks, and platforms. Passionate about analyzing sophisticated problems and developing effective solutions
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical partners
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Experience working with cloud‑based technologies, microservices, and containers is a plus
