Job summary

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Singapore Branch is seeking a Security Engineering Professional to plan, design, and implement advanced security measures aligned with business goals and regulatory frameworks. You will oversee regional security initiatives, coordinate with vendors and stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across on-premises and cloud environments, including data and AI platforms.

Strong communication and governance skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• 15+ years of professional experience, incl. 10+ years in cybersecurity.
• Expertise in enterprise security architecture frameworks, cloud and data protection.
• Experience designing secure architectures in large regulated environments (financial services preferred).
• Cloud engineering and security experience with Azure and AWS; related certifications desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive transformation of security architecture and engineering across domains.
• Lead vendor coordination, stakeholder engagement, and milestone tracking for security projects.
• Establish cybersecurity governance, standards, and review processes.
• Plan, implement, and upgrade security controls aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Foster cross-functional partnerships to improve security outcomes.
• Communicate risk, remediation plans, and program updates to stakeholders.
• Support audits and regulatory assessments with auditors and assessors.
