Job summary

A leading travel company in Singapore is looking for an experienced individual to lead their international sales strategy and team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in inbound travel sales, a strong B2B background, and the ability to build relationships with overseas partners. This role includes driving revenue growth, spearheading business development, and managing key client relationships. Ideal candidates should have a degree in business or tourism and may benefit from an MBA.

Qualifications

Job description

Sales Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive international inbound business growth.
  • Identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities across regions such as Europe, the US, Greater China, and Southeast Asia.
  • Lead annual planning, revenue forecasting, and goal setting aligned with corporate objectives.

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Build and manage relationships with overseas travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, and OTAs.
  • Drive business development activities and lead negotiations for group series, ad-hoc group travel, and FIT programs.
  • Represent the company at global travel trade shows and networking events to enhance brand presence and partnership development.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, coach, and inspire the international sales team to achieve individual and team KPIs.
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture within the sales department.
  • Work closely with product, operations, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive service delivery and value offerings.

Client & Partner Engagement

  • Act as the senior contact for key clients and partners, ensuring strong relationship management and client satisfaction.
  • Lead problem-solving and decision-making for high-value client accounts.

Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Monitor sales pipeline, performance metrics, and market penetration reports to ensure consistent progress toward targets.
  • Oversee pricing strategies and collaborate with the finance team to optimize margins.
  • Support the use of sales tools and CRM platforms to drive productivity and insight-driven sales.

Innovation & Technology Integration

  • Champion digital transformation and the use of technology in the sales process.
  • Knowledge of TourPlan or other travel reservation/management systems is a strong advantage.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Tourism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualifications are an added advantage.

Experience:
