Job summary

Emerson seeks an Engineering Director to lead a globally distributed team responsible for the Isolation Valves portfolio, including Ball, Butterfly, and Knife Gate valves. You will shape engineering strategy, drive execution, and build a diverse, high-performing organization across regions and product lines.

You will align engineering priorities with business goals, coach engineers, and manage resources and budgets to maximize value while advancing standardization and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience.
• Experience leading global or geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven ability to operate in a highly matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided.

As the Engineering Director, you will combine your technical leadership with a strong people-first focus, driving engineering excellence, scalable processes, and commercial execution while also developing and empowering a globally diverse engineering organization.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

For This Role, You Will Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering.
• Proven experience and demonstrated success leading global or geographically dispersed teams, with the ability to work across cultures and time zones.
• Strong track record of delivering results in a highly matrixed organization, navigating competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to assess complex processes quickly, identify gaps, and drive solutions.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

• Experience or knowledge of working in the Industrial Valves industry.
• Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
