Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a senior professional to oversee global assurance planning and reporting. The role partners with Data & Analytics to prioritise activities and maintains a consolidated view of assurance coverage across the lines of defence.

The candidate will support regulatory requests, drive portfolio risk awareness, and collaborate with Heads of Assurance and Internal Audit to align assurance activities with strategic risk objectives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in audit, assurance, risk or COO roles within banking.
• Experience managing or supporting risk-based planning and portfolio oversight.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and control environments.
• Experience developing and delivering management information and reporting.
• Strong analytical capability and data-driven mindset.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Good business communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual assurance planning process across all 2nd Line Assurance teams.
• Consolidate planning inputs into a coherent global assurance plan.
• Provide effective challenge on plan development and reviews.
• Maintain the approved plan and support in-year reprioritisation.
• Ensure incorporation of regulatory requests and thematic reviews.
• Maintain a consolidated view of assurance coverage across the lines of defence.
