Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a seasoned Forward Deployed Engineer to lead AI production-grade deployments in client environments. You will guide FDEs to rapidly prototype, validate and integrate AI applications with client systems while ensuring security and reliability.

You will design cloud-based architectures, build observability pipelines, and drive feature requests from real-world deployments, partnering with client engineering teams for successful launches and adoption.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of client-facing architecture and delivery experience.
• Ability to independently develop prototypes and communicate with clients.
• 2+ years of technical team management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Forward Deployed Engineers to rapidly build and validate AI prototypes for production deployment.
• Design AI and cloud-based architectures and integrate client apps and data securely.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability for accuracy, safety, latency.
• Identify reusable patterns and translate issues into product feature requests.
• Collaborate with client teams to ensure successful launches and adoption.
