Job summary

Google LLC in Singapore seeks a Manager for Applied AI Forward Deployed Engineering to lead AI/ML engineers bridging frontier AI and production-grade solutions within customer environments. You’ll mentor the team, align with Product and Sales leadership, and drive state-management and data readiness across complex deployments.

You’ll shape roadmaps, resolve production obstacles, and contribute to enterprise-grade maturity while collaborating with Google Cloud leaders and DeepMind minds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years in cloud computing or a technical customer-facing role.
• Experience in Python or similar coding languages.
• Experience developing and deploying agentic solutions with multi-agent workflows and RAG systems.
• Experience with customer projects and resource management.
• Master’s degree or PhD in AI, CS, or related field preferred.
• 2 years managing a software engineering or similar technical customer-facing team in cloud.
• Experience designing secure, observable multi-agent systems with patterns like ReAct, state management, tool-calling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead, set code standards and architecture across the team.
• Define requirements with Sales and Tech Leadership for high-value opportunities.
• Lead technical hiring for Applied AI FDE and build an exceptional team.
• Identify gaps in emerging tech (MCP, tool-calling, foundation models).
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to remove blockers and build internal tools.
