JPMorganChase in Singapore invites applications for a Director of Software Engineering to lead a technology area within Equities Trading Technologies, driving impact across teams and regions.

You will architect ultra-low-latency trading systems in C++, define the technology roadmap, and collaborate with trading desks, quantitative researchers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 15+ years applied experience, including 10+ years in trading systems.
• Expert C++ development (C++14/17/20) with ultra-low-latency focus.
• Proven track record building and scaling engineering teams, including hiring and mentoring.
• Strong knowledge of low-latency optimization techniques.
• Experience with exchange connectivity (FIX protocol, binary exchange protocols).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of ultra-low-latency trading systems in C++ for equity derivatives.
• Architect exchange connectivity solutions for Asian markets including FIX protocol and native binary exchange protocols.
• Build and scale the Singapore engineering team, establishing hiring pipelines and university partnerships.
• Define technology roadmap for trading systems expansion and drive strategic technical decisions across the region.
• Partner with global engineering peers to deliver cross-region platform capabilities.
• Mentor and develop engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with trading desks, researchers, and business stakeholders to translate trading requirements into technical solutions.
• Champion firmwide frameworks, tools, and engineering best practices while driving adoption of modern development methodologies.
