Job summary

Caliber8 Recruitment partners with a growing data centre business seeking an experienced M&A professional to lead the evaluation and execution of investment transactions across its portfolio.

You will manage deals end-to-end, build financial models, perform due diligence, and coordinate advisers to ensure timely closing and sound investment decisions. APAC exposure and cross-border collaboration are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
• Proven M&A experience across data centres or digital infrastructure.
• Track record in evaluating and executing acquisitions or strategic investments.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence skills.
• Experience coordinating cross-border transactions in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities

• Manage M&A transactions from initial evaluation through due diligence, negotiation, documentation and completion.
• Develop and review financial models, valuations, investment returns and sensitivity analyses to assess potential transactions.
• Conduct commercial and financial due diligence, identifying key transaction risks, value drivers and potential liabilities.
• Evaluate acquisition targets and investment proposals, including financial performance, asset quality, contractual arrangements and transaction economics.
• Coordinate external legal, financial, tax and technical advisers, ensuring diligence findings are appropriately addressed throughout the transaction process.
• Prepare investment memoranda, transaction papers and financial recommendations for management and investment committee review.
• Support transaction structuring and negotiations, including commercial terms, purchase agreements and closing conditions.
• Manage transaction timelines, deliverables and stakeholder coordination to ensure efficient execution.
• Support post-acquisition integration, transaction handover and the tracking of investment assumptions against actual performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, private equity or transaction advisory, with relevant exposure to data centres or digital infrastructure.
• Proven track record in evaluating and executing acquisitions, joint ventures or strategic investment transactions.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, investment analysis and due diligence capabilities.
• Sound understanding of transaction structures, deal documentation and the key financial and commercial considerations involved in acquisitions.
• Experience working on cross-border transactions, preferably within Asia Pacific.
• Ability to independently manage transaction workstreams, coordinate advisers and deliver against transaction deadlines.
• Strong analytical judgement, attention to detail and commercial negotiation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple markets and functions.
