Job Summary

The Director, Investment Operations & Portfolio Analytics will establish and manage the operational infrastructure for a Singapore-based Single Family Office, ensuring institutional-grade investment operations, portfolio analytics, regulatory coordination, and counterparty management.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed portfolio analytics across global listed equities, ETFs, listed options, cash positions, margin facilities, and financing arrangements to support investment decisions
• Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards tracking gross/net exposure, portfolio concentration, sector allocation, delta-adjusted exposure, options Greeks, liquidity, margin utilization, portfolio margin capacity, counterparty exposure, cash positions, and settlement exposure
• Conduct pre- and post-trade analyses to assess impacts on liquidity, margin utilization, financing capacity, portfolio concentration, and regulatory reporting thresholds
• Prepare investment support materials including market summaries, risk reports, broker comparisons, trade implementation memoranda, and post-trade reviews to inform stakeholders
• Coordinate trade execution strictly following written instructions from the Principal/CIO while maintaining complete audit trails of investment instructions, trade confirmations, broker communications, execution records, and portfolio documentation
• Manage relationships with private banks, prime brokers, custodian banks, brokerage firms, and trading platforms by negotiating financing and commercial terms, comparing custody fees and financing spreads, reviewing margin methodologies, evaluating collateral eligibility, assessing securities lending programs, and monitoring execution quality and reporting standards
• Oversee account structures and operational efficiency by coordinating account openings, KYC documentation, FATCA/CRS compliance, W-8BEN-E documentation, authorized signatory arrangements, and periodic due diligence reviews while maintaining comprehensive records of all counterparty communications
• Collaborate with external advisers including U.S. Securities Counsel, Singapore Tax Advisers, auditors, corporate secretaries, fund administrators, and EDGAR filing agents to maintain regulatory reporting calendars and support preparation of SEC Form 13F, Form 13H (Large Trader), 13D/13G monitoring, and EDGAR filings
• Prepare regulatory data packs detailing holdings, market values, CUSIPs, listed options positions, trading volumes, and broker mapping while monitoring regulatory thresholds and coordinating broker communications related to Large Trader IDs (LTID)
• Build and oversee the investment operating framework including daily cash reporting, trade capture, broker reconciliation, corporate action monitoring, dividend and interest tracking, FX settlements, margin monitoring, financing reporting, portfolio aggregation, account mapping, and investment document management
• Design and implement maker-checker controls, coordinate with accountants and auditors, support year-end investment reporting, and maintain investment policies and operating procedures
• Support the family office’s ongoing operational needs by preparing investment documentation, producing portfolio analytics, maintaining research records, coordinating investment committee materials, supporting Singapore fund tax incentive documentation, and working with tax advisers to maintain investment substance and regulatory compliance
