Job summary

Eames Consulting Group, partnering with a leading financial institution, invites applications for a Director – Finance Technology & Transformation. You will lead a vast portfolio of finance technology initiatives, directing the strategic roadmap and end-to-end delivery of next-generation platforms, data architecture, and regulatory systems.

You will shape operating models, drive automation and data governance, and oversee governance and risk across global deployments.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of enterprise technology leadership in banking or regulated finance.
• Deep knowledge of Finance operations: reporting, tax, governance.
• Proven success in large, multi-vendor programs with global delivery.
• Certifications PMP or PgMP are highly preferred.

Job description

I am partnering with a leading financial institution to identify a Director – Finance Technology & Transformation. In this critical leadership role, you will take the helm of a massive portfolio of finance technology initiatives, driving the strategic roadmap and end-to-end delivery of next-generation finance platforms, data architecture, and regulatory systems.

What You Will Do

• Strategic Portfolio Leadership: Direct a large-scale portfolio of technology transformation programs spanning Regulatory, Financial, and Tax Reporting, as well as Enterprise Finance Data Management.
• Architecture & Operating Models: Define and execute future-state operating models, driving automation, digitalization, and data optimization across the global finance function.
• End-to-End Delivery: Govern program execution from business case to post-production stabilization, managing multi-disciplinary internal teams and strategic external vendors across Agile and traditional methodologies.
• Executive Business Partnering: Act as the primary bridge between Enterprise Finance and Technology, partnering directly with C-suite and senior stakeholders to translate business priorities into robust technology roadmaps.
• Governance & Risk: Establish rigorous governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks for all strategic technology deployments.
• Team Leadership: Mentor, build, and lead a matrixed team of project managers, business analysts, and technical delivery leads to foster a culture of execution excellence.

What You Bring

• 18+ years of experience leading complex, enterprise-wide technology and transformation programs within banking or highly regulated financial services.
• Deep functional understanding of Finance operations (Financial/Regulatory Reporting, Tax, Management Reporting, Finance Controls, and Data Governance).
• Proven track record of managing massive program budgets, multi-vendor ecosystems, and global delivery teams.
• Exceptional executive presence with the ability to challenge, influence, and present seamlessly to steering committees and senior management.
• Certifications in PMP, PgMP, or equivalent enterprise program management frameworks are highly preferred.
