Job summary

Gain City seeks a Director to lead the ECO business unit and establish end-to-end operations for a scalable, compliant e-waste collection and recycling platform in Singapore.

You will recruit, train and lead a high‑performing team, ensure adherence to EPR obligations, design efficient processes, negotiate supplier contracts and drive automation and diversification of recyclable streams.

Position based at Tampines North Drive 5 with potential relocation to Tampines Megastore as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in e-waste management.
• Proven leadership with a track record of high-performing teams.
• In-depth knowledge of regulations and statutory compliance.
• Demonstrated success in driving process improvements.
• Strong experience in cost management and efficiency initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with the EPR Scheme for E-waste, including relevant obligations.
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, statutory requirements and internal SOPs.
• Design, implement and manage a scalable and sustainable model for collection and recycling of e-waste.
• Lead contract negotiations and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of collectors and operations personnel.
• Review existing processes and organisational structures to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, automation and enhanced business partnering.
• Explore and evaluate diversification opportunities, including scrap metal, food waste and other recyclable materials.
