What the role is:

The Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) serves as the regulatory and developmental agency for the early childhood sector in Singapore, overseeing key aspects of children’s development below the age of 7 years, across both kindergartens and childcare centres. The Corporate Development and Services (CDS) Division shapes ECDA's strategic direction and oversees its budget and resources. This role presents an opportunity to drive transformative change within ECDA and ensure operational excellence. We are looking for a dynamic, resourceful and highly-driven individual to lead the Corporate Development and Services Division to support ECDA’s overall goals.

What you will be working on:

As a member of ECDA’s Senior Management Team, the Director of Corporate Development and Services plays a pivotal role in driving ECDA’s Strategic and Corporate Planning and optimising ECDA’s resources including budget, and manpower.

Corporate Development
  • Drive strategic initiatives to achieve ECDA’s organisational goals
  • Develop and lead efforts to foster organisational growth and transformation, including the development and implementation of strategies to enhance workforce capabilities.
  • Champion initiatives to build a resilient and future‑ready organisation, ensuring alignment with ECDA’s mission and vision.
Corporate Services
  • Steward ECDA’s corporate functions, including administrative, financial and manpower planning and operations, to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations including workspace management and overseeing ECDA’s financial planning, budgeting, accounting and reporting.Establish robust systems and processes that ensure ECDA's compliance with corporate governance requirements.
  • Design sustainable structures to administer grants and preschool placements.
What we are looking for:
  • Track record in stewarding systems; initiate review of systems and processes regularly, leveraging tech to enhance services and ops and meet emerging needs.
  • Experience in innovation; lead identification of new and better ways of working and delivering services.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and strategic planning skills to identify and evaluate opportunities and drive organisational growth.
  • 10 years of experience leading teams at senior management level.
  • Proven track record in leading teams and/or managing projects.
  • Strong project management skills to drive and implement strategic initiatives.
