Danos Group is seeking a senior Director to lead assurance work over artificial intelligence for an international bank. You will assess whether AI solutions are properly designed, controlled and governed, and report conclusions to senior management and governance committees.

Competenze

• Extensive senior experience in AI, ML, data science or advanced analytics in a bank or large regulated organisation.
• Practical knowledge of AI model development, validation and operation across business and support functions.
• Experience with risk governance and control frameworks in design, operation or testing.
• Solid understanding of AI regulation and emerging AI risks.
• Experience leading teams and engaging senior business, technology and risk stakeholders.
• Degree in a quantitative/scientific discipline; postgraduate AI governance or model risk certification is an advantage.

Our client, an international bank, is seeking a senior Director to lead its assurance work over artificial intelligence. The role holder will assess whether the bank's AI solutions are appropriately designed, controlled and governed, and will report conclusions to senior management and governance committees.

The role sits within the bank's audit function but is aimed at AI and machine learning practitioners. Senior professionals from business, technology or data functions who have worked closely with risk and control frameworks are encouraged to apply. Prior audit experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Identify the areas of highest AI risk across the bank and direct review activity accordingly.
2. Assess AI solutions across their full life, from model and data selection through to post-implementation monitoring, including generative AI, large language models and vendor-provided AI.
3. Evaluate key AI risks, including bias, explainability, model drift, data quality, security and regulatory alignment.
4. Form a view on the maturity of the bank's AI adoption and governance, and present findings to senior management and governance committees.
5. Build and lead a team, deploying the technical and risk expertise each review requires.

Requirements

1. Extensive senior experience in AI, machine learning, data science or advanced analytics within a bank or other large regulated organisation.
2. Practical knowledge of how AI models are developed, validated and operated, and of the AI tools in use across business and support functions.
3. Experience working with risk governance and control frameworks, whether in designing, operating or testing them.
4. Sound understanding of AI regulation and emerging AI risks.
5. Experience leading teams and engaging senior business, technology and risk stakeholders.
6. A degree in a quantitative or scientific discipline such as data science, computer science, physics, mathematics or engineering. A postgraduate qualification, or certification in AI governance or model risk, is an advantage.
