Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Banking, Finance, Business, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in retail banking operations, account opening, customer onboarding, or banking back-office functions.
• Working knowledge of KYC, AML, sanctions screening, and regulatory onboarding requirements as applied in a retail banking environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a track record of accurate, high-quality processing in a high-volume setting.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and collaborate across teams and provide practical guidance to frontline colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Process retail bank account opening requests across branch and digital channels, ensuring accurate and compliant data capture.
• Verify customer identity and documentation in line with KYC/AML and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence assessments, applying appropriate risk profiling.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with business development, sales, and service teams to resolve documentation gaps and minimise delays.
• Identify opportunities to drive digital enhancements to onboarding processes and automation.
