Job summary

Lee Kong Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU Singapore, invites a Research Assistant to help build digital solutions for cognitive and mental healthcare. You will design web and mobile apps, with front-end in React/React Native and back-end in Node.js/TypeScript, deployed on AWS.

Ideal candidates hold a CS/IT degree or diploma with relevant experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work across researchers, clinicians, and developers in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field; Diploma with relevant experience also considered.
Hands-on experience in full-stack development using JavaScript/TypeScript; backend with Node.js; frontend with React.
Experience building mobile or cross-platform apps with React Native; knowledge of AWS cloud services.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain web and mobile applications for digital health projects.
Build responsive front-end interfaces using React and React Native.
Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and application logic with Node.js/TypeScript.
Deploy, monitor, and optimize cloud-based applications on AWS; support CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, UI/UX designers, and other developers to translate research needs into solutions.
