Job summary

Nanyang Technological University, Singapore's Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine invites a lead software engineer to drive the technical direction and development of digital solutions for cognitive and mental healthcare.

You will guide a small team to design scalable web and mobile applications, oversee APIs and data pipelines, and collaborate with researchers and clinicians to translate study requirements into production systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in full-stack software development for web/mobile.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React frameworks.
• Experience leading engineering teams and driving system design in research settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architecture across frontend, backend, and cloud for scalable digital health solutions.
• Oversee full-stack development of web and mobile apps (React/React Native; backend services) and data pipelines.
• Guide cloud deployment (AWS) and ensure system reliability, security, and research usability.
• Lead and mentor a small in-house tech team and collaborate with clinicians and researchers to translate requirements into production systems.
