Job summary

UNITED MICROELECTRONICS CORPORATION (SINGAPORE BRANCH) invites process engineers to join our team. You will monitor inline SPC, defects, and equipment abnormalities, and own timely disposition to ensure stable, high-yield production; you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that improve efficiency.

You will lead productivity improvements for new processes using process-characteristic analytical tools and contribute to equipment and material development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or Physics.
• At least 2 years of experience in semiconductor foundry module process.
• 22/28 nanometer and below advanced technology nodes experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of process development, optimization and troubleshooting.
• Proven leadership skills in cross-functional teams and managing projects related to process improvement or technology transfer.
• Ability to analyze complex process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Experience with SPC, 8D reporting, DOE, FMEA and PMO preferred.
• Able to commit to shift work.

Responsibilities

• Day to day monitoring and ownership to timely address in-line SPC/defect/equipment abnormality, handling and disposition.
• Manage projects in productivity improvement, particularly for new processes, using process characteristic analytical tool to improve process condition and technology.
• Establish process parameters for a variety of semiconductor equipment to ensure line stability.
• Evaluation and development of new equipment/materials/process.
