Job summary

The Environmental Health Institute (EHI) under the National Environment Agency (NEA) is seeking a lab analyst to support early diagnostic work for vector-borne diseases. The role involves joining a diagnostic team, contributing to quality management, and collaborating on research projects.

Candidates should have 5+ years in molecular biology, experience with BSL-3 environments, strong analytical and communication skills, and flexibility to work after hours or weekends if required.

Qualifications

• A good degree in Life Sciences, Biology, or related disciplines with at least 5 years of working experience in molecular biology techniques.
• Experience in BSL3 laboratory is preferred
• Excellent analytical mind and systematic in planning
• Able to multitask and a team player
• Task orientated and meticulous
• Good in communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to work after office hours and weekends if required

Responsibilities

• Be part of the diagnostic team at the Environmental Health Institute that provides early diagnosis of vector-borne diseases.
• Participate in quality management initiatives and collaborate in research projects.
• Handle risk group 2 pathogens and work with risk group 3 pathogens; contribute to risk assessment and protocol development.
