Working with software and platform teams, you will drive DevOps practices, enhance observability with monitoring and logging, and lead incident response and on-call readiness.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE or related roles with hands-on ownership of production systems.
• Proven AWS experience including security, networking, infrastructure design, and high-availability architectures.
• Proven CI/CD pipeline design using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Strong understanding of production operations, incident management, and RCA.
• On-call rotations experience.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

I am looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS. This role will play a key part in strengthening our CI/CD capabilities, automating infrastructure operations, and improving the reliability and performance of production systems.

Working closely with software engineering and platform teams, you will drive DevOps best practices, enhance system observability, and ensure efficient, secure, and reliable software delivery in a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, operate, and scale cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
• CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Build, maintain, and optimise secure and reliable CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and improve deployment frequency and quality.
• Production Reliability: Take ownership of production system availability, performance, resilience, and capacity planning to support business-critical applications.
• Incident Management: Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews, implementing improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Infrastructure Automation: Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern automation practices.
• Containerisation and Orchestration: Manage and optimise containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes to support scalable and resilient application deployments.
• Monitoring and Observability: Establish and enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities to proactively identify and resolve operational issues.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, access controls, and runtime environments.
• Engineering Collaboration: Partner with software engineering and platform teams to improve system architecture, scalability, resilience, and release readiness.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce operational overhead, minimise deployment risks, and improve engineering productivity through automation and tooling enhancements.
• Technical Leadership: Contribute to platform architecture decisions, tooling selection, and the adoption of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Infrastructure, or a related engineering role, with hands-on ownership of production systems.
• Strong practical experience with AWS cloud services, including cloud security, networking, infrastructure design, and high-availability architectures.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Solid production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automated infrastructure provisioning.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
• Strong understanding of production operations, system reliability, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability systems and participating in on-call support rotations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, take ownership of technical initiatives, and drive improvements with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
