Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an DevOps Engineer in Singapore to join cross-functional teams delivering scalable, reliable deployments. The role emphasizes cloud platforms (AWS), container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and automation.

You will work within SCRUM teams, implement monitoring and logging, and contribute to security and capacity planning while supporting production systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
• Maintain configuration management, build, CI, deployment, reporting and monitoring tools.
• Implement and operate monitoring, alerting and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Opensearch).
• Develop scripts to automate server, CI/CD and related tasks.
• Participate in capacity planning and risk management.
• Explore and adopt DevOps practices to improve reliability and availability.
• Contribute to security practices to protect data and infrastructure.
• Collaborate in highly team-based environments and prioritize tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain the CICD pipelines incorporating streamlined change and release management process
• Maintain tools for configuration management, build, continuous integration, and deployment, reporting, monitoring etc.
• Implement and operate monitoring and alerting tools
• Implement scripts to automate server, CICD and other relevant tasks
• Participate and implement capacity planning and risk management
• Explore and adopt new and creative DevOps approaches to improve production reliability and availability
• Implement security practices that comply with standards to protect the organization’s data and infrastructure
• Working in highly collaborative teams and building quality environments
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast paced environment

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of relevant DevOps Engineering experience, with an additional 1-2 years of prior experience as a Software Engineer or System Engineer.
• Hands-on experience working on AWS
• Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
• Good understanding of virtualization and networking concepts
• Hands-on experience with production deployments such as Kubernetes and automating provisioning with IaC best practices
• Hands-on experience in Linux server administration, shell scripting with Bash and other scripting languages
• Knowledge in system architecture is a plus
• Knowledge with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELK/Opensearch
• Experience with highly scalable distributed systems
• Breadth of knowledge - OS, networking, distributed computing, cloud computing
• Manage the operations of cloud infrastructure and application services
• Strong technical aptitude including excellent troubleshooting
• Good communication skills
• Experience working in SCRUM teams
