Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to support secure, automated deployments across multiple environments.
• Manage container orchestration platforms (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker) to ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to integrate DevOps practices into application design and delivery.
• Monitor and optimise system performance using observability tools, ensuring high availability of government applications.
• Implement security controls and compliance checks aligned with public-sector standards.
• Support incident and problem management by troubleshooting deployment, infrastructure, and environment issues.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) tools where applicable.
• Document processes, configurations, and standards to ensure knowledge transfer and audit readiness.
• Engage vendors and external partners to align DevOps practices with government frameworks.
• Champion continuous improvement by introducing new tools, practices, and automation opportunities.

The DevOps Engineer will support mission‑critical systems, ensuring reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement of CI/CD practices. The role interacts with product owners, developers, infrastructure teams, and cybersecurity stakeholders, driving modern engineering practices that accelerate delivery while safeguarding public‑sector systems.

Requirements

• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices in production environments.
• Experience in deployment automation and environment management.
• Understanding of secure software delivery in regulated environments.
• Minimum 5 years in DevOps, system engineering, or related roles.
• Proven track record supporting large‑scale applications or platforms.
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
• Experience with SHIP‑HATS or other Singapore Government compliance frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Relevant certifications (CKA, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.).
• Domain Experience in Government / Public Sector technology delivery or Citizen services, e‑government platforms, or compliance‑driven environments.
