Job summary

PARKWAY LABORATORY SERVICES LTD. is seeking a Despatcher to support healthcare services across our network. You will be responsible for timely collection and despatch of reports, mail, and packages, ensuring adherence to schedules and specimen handling policies.

You will also maintain motorcycles and package despatches while presenting a professional image. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to plan routes are essential, with duties assigned by the Logistics Executive.

Qualifications

• Simple comprehension of written and spoken English.
• Class 2 motorcycle license required.
• Class 3 driving license an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan riding routes to cover specimen pickups and report deliveries within allocated times.
• Maintain motorcycles to ensure the vehicle is in good running condition.
• Pack and despatch supplies.
• Support client activities for marketing follow-up.
• Uphold a professional corporate image through grooming.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Logistics Executive management.

Job description

The Role

• Join Parkway Labs as a Despatcher and be part of a dedicated team supporting healthcare services across our network.
• Responsible for the timely collection and despatch of reports / mail / packages adhering to schedules as designed to meet customer’s needs.
• Responsible for the careful handling of packages in adherence to the policies of specimen handling as stipulated in the laboratory’s standard operating policies & procedures.
• Maintenance of motorcycles to ensure vehicle is in good running condition.
• Packing and despatching supplies.
• Project good corporate image with proper grooming.
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time by Logistic Executive management.

Key accountabilities

• Planning of riding route to cover all requests of specimen pick-up and report delivery within allocated time frame daily.
• When to refer case to Section Leader/Logistic Executive.
• To give feedback regarding factors affecting efficiency of workflow.
• To give feedback on client activities for marketing follow-up.

Qualifications & Experience

• Simple comprehension of written and spoken English.
• Class 2 motorcycle license required.
• Class 3 driving license an added advantage.
